X 25 XE and X 30 XE V6 DOHC Petrol Engines
The X 25 XF and X 30 XF V6 engines are based on the familiar C 25 XF: V6 engine from the Vectra / Cavalier MY'93 1 / 2.
A completely new MULTI - RAM intake system has been developed for use in the Omega - B. his is a development of the DUAL - RAM system, familiar from the C 26 NE / C 30 SE engines in the Omega - A / Carlton. here is a more detailed description of the MULTI - RAM system in section 2; "Electronic Engine Management Systems".
The X 30 XFs technical details correspond to those of the X 25 XE. The bore has been enlarged and the stroke correspondingly lengthened. These engines are designed to provide high torque and economical fuel consumption. Relative to the C 30 SE, these engines are 20% lighter and have higher specific output.
