SELECT ADJUSTMN.

CO ADJUSTMENT

20 SE engine only:

 

Engine running at idle speed, operating temperature (coolant temperature higher than 70 °C / l 58 °F).

 Switch off all consumers

Fasten exhaust gauge to vehicle exhaust

 

Vehicles with AT:

 

Selector lever in "P" position

Press key F6 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

Note:

It is possible to change the CO values with the arrow keys:

 

Arrow key up: engine speed increases in increments from 128, 129, 130 to 188 steps Arrow key down: engine speed decreases in increments from 128, 127, 126 to 68 steps

The adjusted values are confirmed with "ENTER".

 

In the adjustment mode, the CO content should be in the range shown on the right:

 

The value should be set as close as possible to the 0.5 to 1.5 % CO lower limit

Once adjustment is completed, a control measurement should be made at idle speed. The CO value should then be below the value shown on the right: 0.5 % CO
