Note:   When replacing air cleaner element (5), remove with upper part of air cleaner housing (4). Insert new air cleaner insert in upper part of air cleaner housing. Attach upper part of air cleaner housing with air cleaner element to lower part of air cleaner housing.

  Remove

Remove air intake hose (3) from upper part of air cleaner housing.

For Y 22 XE and Z 22 XE: Unclip tank vent valve (2) from lower part of air cleaner housing.

Unclip coolant hose (1) from upper part of air cleaner housing.

Release air cleaner housing from rubber bearings and remove upwards with air duct hose (6).

Before installing air cleaner housing in engine compartment, remove rubber bearings from their mounts and press onto guide pins of lower part of air cleaner housing – install rubber bearings in the position shown.

  Install

Coat rubber bearings with detergent or soap.

Press air cleaner housing with air duct hose into dedicated mounts – ensure correct seating.

Clip coolant hose to upper part of air cleaner housing.

For Y 22 XE and Z 22 XE: Clip tank vent valve to lower part of air cleaner housing.
