Note:   The control unit receives a voltage signal from throttle valve potentiometer P34 via Ter. 26.

              Below a certain voltage level, the control unit recognizes that the throttle valve is in the idle position. TECH 1 reads this information from the control unit

 

Notes on Trouble - shooting:

Cause of Fault:

 

 

·     Engine running at idle speed. Disconnect plug from throttle valve potentiometer

·     Short circuit between Ter. 3 and Ter. 1 in throttle valve potentiometer plug

·     Lead interruption from

       -      control unit Ter. 26 to throttle valve potentiometer plug Ter. 3

       -      control unit Ter. 34 to throttle valve potentiometer plug Ter. 2

       -      throttle valve potentiometer plug Ter. 1 to ground

 

·     Control unit defective

 

Note:

Before replacing the control unit, reinitialize theEEPROM and check again.

 

 

Further possible faults

 

·     Check throttle valve stop bolt for correct seating
