Disconnect ground cable from battery. Remove spark plug wire
cover or ignition module cover from cylinder head cover. Detach
wiring harness plug (1) from camshaft sensor.
Remove front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front
Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install".
Remove fastening bolt (1) for camshaft sensor and pull camshaft
sensor upwards and remove – note installation position.
Install
Insert camshaft sensor (1) from above and fasten to cylinder
head – tightening torque 6 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.
Install front toothed belt cover – see operation "Front
Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install". Connect wiring harness
plug (1) to camshaft sensor. Attach spark plug wire cover or
ignition module cover to cylinder head cover.
