Pressure Loss, Check > < OHC II Petrol Engine (20 SE, X 20 SE) - Engine Identification/Engine Number

Compression, Check

Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature >= 80 °C).

  Remove

Disconnect spark plug connector, remove spark plugs with KM-194-E. Disconnect wiring harness plug from DIS ignition module. Open relay frame cover and pull fuel pump relay (1) out of socket.

  Inspect

Use compression recorder with rubber cone and a measuring range of up to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar) overpressure. Actuate starter for approx. 4 seconds with throttle valve fully open – minimum engine speed 300 rpm. The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).

  Install

Insert fuel pump relay in base and close relay holder cover.

Attach spark plugs with KM-194-E to cylinder head – tightening torque 20 Nm / 18.4 lbf. ft.

Connect spark plug connector, connect wiring harness plugs to DIS ignition module.
