Remove toothed belt tension roller – see operation "Toothed Belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install".

Remove wiring trough (1) from camshaft housing cover. Remove crankcase vent hoses (2) and (3) from camshaft housing cover. Remove camshaft housing cover from camshaft housing.

Remove camshaft pulley (4) – counterhold with open-ended wrench on hex of camshaft.

Remove toothed belt drive gear – counterhold with KM-662-C (5).

Detach cable for crankshaft pulse pick-up from rear toothed belt cover – note lead routing.

Remove fastening bolts (1) from oil pump and camshaft housing and remove rear toothed belt cover.

Install rear toothed belt cover to oil pump and camshaft housing – tightening torque 6 Nm / 4.5 lbf. ft. Insert crankshaft pulse pick-up cable (1) in rear toothed belt cover – note cable routing.

  Install

Attach camshaft pulley to camshaft – counterhold with open-ended wrench on hex of camshaft – tightening torque 45 Nm / 33 lbf. ft. Attach camshaft housing cover to camshaft housing – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.

Attach crankcase ventilation hoses and cable trough to camshaft housing cover.

Check condition of spring washer (1), replace if necessary. Attach toothed belt drive gear to crankshaft with new bolt – counterhold with KM-662-C – tightening torque 130 Nm / 96 lbf. ft. + 45° ± 5°.

Install toothed belt tension roller – see operation "Toothed Belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install".
