F0:DATA LIST

·   Disconnect wiring harness plug from:

     K85 transmission control unit

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance

from:    K85 transmission control unit wiring harness plug

                  Ter. 40 (SWVI)

     to:         ground

from:    K85 transmission control unit wiring harness plug

                  Ter. 40 (SWVI)

to:         K85 transmission control unit wiring harness plug

                  Ter. 41 (GRRT)

The above tests are merely static tests and not function checks. For this reason, it is possible that all the measurements are OK, but that the pressure regulator still does not regulate properly.

An internal mechanical fault in the pressure regulator does not necessarily make itself noticeable electrically

(see section 5.4, Mechanical/Hydraulic Trouble-shooting).

This note also applies for the solenoid valves for 1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, brake band and torque converter clutch.

Important:

The control unit may be in the emergency program because of a fault that has nothing to do with the pressure regulator circuit. This note also applies for the solenoid valves for 1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, brake band and torque converter clutch.

In emergency operation, the pressure regulator is actuated at approx. 100 mA. The voltage supply to the solenoid valves is interrupted.

In the emergency program, the following driving stages (gears) can only be shifted manually:

Selector lever in "D"       4th gear

Selector lever in "3"        4th gear

Selector lever in "2"        3rd gear

Selector lever in "1"        1st gear
