The above tests are merely
static tests and not function checks. For this reason, it is possible that
all the measurements are OK, but that the pressure regulator still does not
regulate properly.
An internal mechanical fault in
the pressure regulator does not necessarily make itself noticeable
electrically
(see section 5.4,
Mechanical/Hydraulic Trouble-shooting).
This note also applies for the
solenoid valves for 1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, brake band and torque
converter clutch.
Important:
The control unit may be in the
emergency program because of a fault that has nothing to do with the
pressure regulator circuit. This note also applies for the solenoid valves
for 1-2/3-4 shift, 2-3 shift, brake band and torque converter clutch.
In emergency operation, the
pressure regulator is actuated at approx. 100 mA. The voltage supply to the
solenoid valves is interrupted.
In the emergency program, the
following driving stages (gears) can only be shifted manually:
Selector lever in "D" 4th

gear
Selector lever in "2" 3rd
