If present: Remove heat shield wiring harness (2 fastening bolts). Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) for selector lever position switch and detach from bracket. Connect KM-962-A to wiring harness plug. Connect power supply for KM-962-A to cigarette lighter or to battery with KM-962-10.

Note:   Insert submission for AR transmission.

  Inspect

Switch on ignition. Select all gears in sequence. For each individual gear, the LEDs corresponding to the markings on the plug-in check-display must illuminate (Illus. G 7077 shows the check in selector lever position "N"). If there is a malfunction: Adjust selector lever linkage and selector lever position switch – see operation "Selector Lever Linkage, Adjust" and "Selector Lever Position Switch, Adjust". Check electrical operation of selector lever position switch – see current Checking Procedure "AR 25/35 Automatic 4-speed Transmission Omega-B".

Switch ignition off.

Disconnect power supply for KM-962-A from cigarette lighter or KM-962-10 from battery.

Disconnect KM-962-A from wiring harness plug for selector lever position switch.

  Install

If necessary: Fasten new fastening clip (2) to wiring harness plug for selector lever position switch (1). Clip wiring harness plug for selector lever position switch to bracket and connect.

If present: install heat shield for wiring harness plug – tightening torque 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft.
