Note:

 

To prevent overheating of the servo motors due to continuous actuation, a pause is made if the motors are actuated several times within a brief period of time (typically approx. 12 actuations in quick succession). During this pause, the control unit functions are blocked (see test step 20).

 

 

The information in the "Conditions for Checking" column regarding "turn key to the left" or "turn key to the right" refer to a left-hand drive vehicle. In vehicles with right-hand drive, always turn the key in the opposite direction.

 

 

In vehicles which are manufactured for Great Britain, the immobiliser is always ACTIVE as soon as the ignition key is removed from the ignition lock.

 

 

For key transmitters, the designation "centre button" refers to the large button in the centre of the key transmitter. The designation "side button" refers to the small button beside the LED, for activating the mechanical anti-theft device.
