Only vehicles with anti-theft warning system:

 

Note:

 

For this test step, the TECH 1 lead should be guided through the gap of the driver's door left ajar. It is important that the driver's door contact switch be actuated (see test step 9)

a) Check using key in driver's door:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ignition OFF

All doors closed

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Turn key 30° to the left in driver's door (unlock central locking)

 

 

DISARM   5V

 

 

 

 

 

Turn key 30° to the right in driver's door (lock central locking)

ARM      0V

(LED of electronic immobiliser flashes)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Turn key 60° to the right in driver's door (switch on anti-theft device)

 

 

Turn key 30° to the left in driver's door (unlock central locking)

 

 

ARM      0V

(LED of electronic immobiliser flashes)

 

 

 

 

 

Note:

 

After the key has been turned 30° or 60° to the right in the driver's door, the electronic immobiliser LED flashes regularly for approx. 10 seconds (anti-theft warning system is being armed). The LED then flashes irregularly (anti-theft warning system is armed).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the driver's door, left ajar, is now opened, the driver's door contact switch is actuated and the anti-theft warning system's alarm is triggered.

The relevant trouble code is stored in the anti-theft warning system control unit.

b) Check using infrared transmitters:

 

Ignition OFF

All doors closed

Open driver's door once and then close again (leave ajar, see note above)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Perform the following test within two minutes:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Centre button of infrared transmitter not pressed (central locking unlocked)

 

 

DISARM   5V

 

 

 

 

 

Press centre button of infrared transmitter once and release again

(lock central locking)

 

 

ARM      0V

 

 

 

 

 

Note:

 

Each time a button is pressed, the red LED in the infrared transmitter must illuminate (otherwise battery is flat).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the system does not react, press button several times until system reacts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ensure that the infrared transmitter being used is programmed

(see test steps 21 and 22).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Press centre button of infrared transmitter again and release.

 

 

Delete alarm codes in anti-theft warning system control unit.
