The D - network telephone conforms to the international GSM standard (Group Special Mobile).
It is a tap - protected, digital radio telephone system. The use of digital technology also provides almost interference - free transmission.
The customer can retrofit a D - network telephone of his choice. In the digital D - network, telephone calls are transferred between the car telephone and the receiver station by radio.
To telephone, a SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card is inserted into the transmitter / receiver unit. The SIM card contains information about the unit's call number and home region, services used and PIN and decoding codes.
The SIM card makes it possible to record charges.
The D - network operates at a frequency of approx. 900 MHz.
