Outside and Inside Mirrors

Each mirror casing contains two motors for automatic positioning (memory), one for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal adjustment. Information about the current position of each mirror is supplied to the memory system control unit by two potentiometers attached to the motor axis.

The outside mirror is adjusted electrically via the mirror adjustment switch S68 in the driver's door handle or via the memory system.

The inside mirror is adjusted manually or via the memory system.

To ensure that the motors are not damaged by the manual adjustment, they are fitted with sliding clutches.

The outside mirror faces are equipped with heating.

The inside mirror is connected to the body wiring harness via a 12-pin wiring harness connection.

Each outside mirror is connected to the corresponding front door wiring harness by a 9-pin wiring harness connection.

The driver's door wiring harness is connected to the body wiring harness via the 30-pin wiring harness connection X11; the co-driver's door wiring harness is connected via X12.

Note:

The inside mirror can only be replaced in assembly.
