Step 13 - Storage and Transport Protective Wax  

The final application of storage and transport protective wax prevents corrosion damage caused by...  

•  Dust and dirt during transport.  

•  Environmental stresses such as soot.  

•  Aggressive media such as bird excreta, insects or tree resin.  

 

The storage and transport protective wax is applied to the following areas of all vehicles:     •  Roof   •  Bonnet   •  Luggage compartment lid   •  Tailgate   •  Wings   •  Doors   •  Rear quarter panels     Particles that attack the paint only deposit on surfaces that are accessible from above.   For this reason, recessed perpendicular surfaces (front, sides, rear) are excluded from the wax coating.
