Instrument Panel Padding

The instrument panel padding is manufactured in a composite construction. The mount is made of SMA plastic (styrene maleic acid anhydride). The instrument panel padding is coated with TPO foil (thermoplastic olefin) and cushioned with PUR foam.  

In vehicles without a co-driver's airbag, the co-driver's airbag (1) is replaced by a storage compartment in the instrument panel padding.
