H Brakes|ABS > < Wheel Brake Cylinder, Repair

 

Brake Servo Vacuum Line, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Withdraw vacuum line with elbow (1) from brake servo.  

Disconnect vacuum hose (3) from non-return valve.  

Remove vacuum line (2) from inlet manifold (for vehicles with petrol engine) or from vacuum pump (for vehicles with diesel engine).  

Remove vacuum line.

Object Number: 616193  Size: DEFAULT  Disassemble   

Cut vacuum line open at connections (1) and remove from connection pieces.  

Object Number: 616194  Size: DEFAULT  Assemble   

Section new vacuum line (rubber hose with textile outer layer and wire insert) accordingly and install with new hose clamps.  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Ensure that the arrows (2) on non-return valve point in the direction of inlet manifold or vacuum pump.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Press vacuum lines with elbow into brake servo. Attach vacuum line to inlet manifold or vacuum pump. Connect vacuum hose to non-return valve. Ensure that all the connections are completely sealed. Check operation of brake servo - see operation "Brake Servo, Check Operation".  

Object Number: 616199  Size: DEFAULT  Tighten (Torque)   

Vacuum line to inlet manifold or to vacuum pump - 18 Nm / 13 lbf. ft.
