Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD)

The introduction of the Vectra-B features an "electronic brake force distribution (EBFD)".

It regulates the rear axle braking force in conventional braking operation (without ABS regulation) up to maximum exploitation of the friction coefficient at the rear wheels. This replaces the mechanical brake proportioning valves from the Vectra-A/Cavalier.

The improved exploitation of brake force distribution achieved by EBFD regulation optimises driving stability and vehicle deceleration.

Notice:

If the ABS malfunctions, a preset distribution of the brake force between front and rear axles ensures that the brake system continues to operate safely.
