Holding screw on the camshaft sensor - Loosening

Complaint:

Loose or Comes off

Loosening of the holding screw on the camshaft sensor.

 

Cause:

Holding screw is too short and the tightening torque used is too low.

 

Production Solution:

From engine-No. 20G98790 (Szengotthard) and 02JZ9679 (Bochum) the improvement (glued 18 mm Torx screw) is introduced inproduction.

Remedy:

Use the Torx screw (18 mm) with compound. Tightening torque:8 Nm + /- 1 Nm.

 

Note:

Also pay attention to Field Remedy 1230.
