Fan Motor, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect ground cable from battery.   Detach positive cable (1) from positive terminal.   Detach relay and fuse box (2) from battery carrier.   Disconnect auxiliary fan wiring harness plug (3).   Disconnect multiple plug (4) (rotary catch).   Disconnect ground cable (5) from body.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect wiring harness plug from both air conditioning pressure switches (1).   Remove upper coolant hose (2) from thermostat housing and radiator - collect escaping coolant.   Remove refrigerant line bracket (3) and detach wiring harness plugs (4) and (5) from thermoswitches.   Detach wiring harness plug from compressor.   Unclip refrigerant line from bracket.   Detach fan housing from radiator. Carefully remove fan housing with fan motor upwards.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect fan motor wiring harness plug (2) and unclip from bracket.   Remove fastening bolts (1) and remove fan motor with fan gear.     Install, Connect    Attach fan motor to fan housing. Connect wiring harness plug for fan motor and clip into retainer.

  Install, Connect   

Carefully insert fan housing with fan motor from above into lower retainer on radiator.  

Attach fan housing to radiator using the two fastening bolts.  

Clip refrigerant line to bracket. Connect wiring harness plug to compressor.  

Connect wiring harness plugs to both thermoswitches and install coolant line bracket.  

Attach upper radiator hose to thermostat housing and radiator.  

Connect wiring harness plugs to both AC pressure switches.  

Attach ground cable to body. Connect multi-plug (rotary catch) and wiring harness plug for auxiliary fan.  

Attach relay and fuse box to battery carrier.  

Connect positive cable to positive terminal and ground cable to battery.  

Top up cooling system - see operations "Cooling System, Top up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
