Engine Timing Side Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install
Remove, Disconnect Remove air cleaner housing - see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing, Air Duct". For version with AC: Release upper fastening bolt (1) for engine damping block bracket - fastening bolt cannot be removed. Suspend engine from Engine Bridge MKM-883-1 and lift slightly until the front right engine damping block is relieved of its load. Remove right front wheel. Remove side engine compartment cover. Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller using KM-913-A in direction of arrow (clockwise) and remove ribbed V-belt from pulleys. |

Remove, Disconnect For version with AC: Remove engine damping block fastening nut (arrow). Remove both fastening bolts for engine damping block bracket (1) and turn engine damping block bracket slightly to the side. Guide ribbed V-belt between engine and engine damping block bracket and remove.
Install, Connect For version with AC: Route ribbed V-belt between engine and engine damping block bracket. Attach engine damping block bracket to the auxiliary aggregates support using the three fastening bolts - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft. Attach engine damping block to front axle body - tightening torque 45 Nm / 33 lbf. ft. Install side engine compartment cover. Attach front right wheel - tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft. Detach engine from Engine Bridge MKM-883-1 and remove engine bridge. Position ribbed V-belt - tension ribbed V-belt via ribbed V-belt tension roller and KM-913-A. Ensure running direction and installation position of ribbed V-belt are correct. Illustration J 1119 below shows the routing of the ribbed V-belt:

Notice: Before assembling components of the intake system (hoses, connections, etc.), they must be cleaned of any possible contamination (grease, oil, etc.). When tightening the hose clamps, be sure to observe exactly the tightening torque of 3.5 Nm / 2.6 lbf. ft.
Important! It is only ensured that the intake system is free of leaks, thus ensuring operational safety of the engine, if the hose clamps are tightened correctly to the prescribed tightening torque.
Install, Connect Install air filter housing - see illustration "Air Filter Housing, Air Flow Guide".
