1) The knock sensor must lie on the entire contact face directly on the cylinder block - ensure it is completely clean. Do not use underlying, spring or toothed lock washer. Observe tightening torque without fail, otherwise function disruptions may occur. 2) Use new fastening bolts. 3) Apply a bead of adhesive sealing compound (black) to grooves of rear crankshaft bearing cap. After assembly of crankshaft bearing cap, press in adhesive sealing compound (black) from above again until it escapes from the joints.
