Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove side engine compartment cover.   Loosen fastening bolts from torsional vibration damper, do not remove - counterhold at the toothed belt drive gear fastening bolt.   Disconnect torque support (1) from both torque support brackets and remove.   Remove both torque support brackets (2).   Remove air filter housing and air intake hose - see illustration "Air Filter Housing, Air Flow Guide".   Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and remove ribbed V-belt from pulleys.   Disconnect torsional vibration damper - mark installation position.   Remove front toothed belt cover (3) (3 fastening bolts).

  Install, Connect   

Connect front toothed belt cover to rear toothed belt cover - tightening torque 6 Nm / 4.4 lbf. ft.  

Connect torsional vibration damper to toothed belt drive gear - counterhold at the toothed belt drive gear fastening bolt - note installation position - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.  

Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and position ribbed V-belt - note running direction of ribbed V-belt.  

Notice: 

Before assembling components of the intake system (hoses, connections, etc.), they must be cleaned of any possible contamination (grease, oil, etc.). When tightening the hose clamps, be sure to observe exactly the tightening torque of 3.5 Nm / 2.6 lbf. ft.  

  Important!   

It is only ensured that the intake system is free of leaks, thus ensuring operational safety of the engine, if the hose clamps are tightened correctly to the prescribed tightening torque.  

  Install, Connect   

Install air cleaner housing and air intake hose - see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing, Air Duct".  

  Install, Connect   

Install both torque support brackets - tightening torque 60 Nm / 44.2 lbf. ft.  

Connect torque support to both torque support brackets - tightening torque 60 Nm / 44.2 lbf. ft.  

Install side engine compartment cover.
