Complaint: Electrical failures Engine telltale comes on. However when attempting to read the TC the report 'No data is received, check the ALDL- plug' is shown.
Cause: The diagnostics path is the same for engine and radio. If a non-Opel radio (no diagnostics) is installed the diagnostics pin 19 may be in- correctly connected, prevanting the reading of engine trouble codes.

Production Solution:
Remedy: Remove non-Opel radio or remove and isolate pin 19 (brown /white wire) on the radio connector.
