Check function of overrunning clutch - hold outer race firmly, it must be possible to turn inner race clockwise (2) and block anti-clockwise (1).
Disassemble
Disassemble overrunning clutch F1: Take thrust washer (3) from outer gear (7), inner gear (4) from outer gear (7), thrust washer (5) from inner gear, overrunning clutch F1 (6) from outer gear.
Assemble
Assemble overrunning clutch: Overrunning clutch F1 (3) into outer gear (2) - installation direction: Collar of overrunning clutch (arrow) - visible after removal of cover (1) - points towards open side of outer gear.
Thrust washer (6) to inner gear (5) - pay attention to lug and recess. Turn inner gear (5) in outer gear (8) and insert, thrust washer (4) to outer gear (8) - pay attention to lug and recess.
Inspect
Check functioning of the overrunning clutch - as described at start of the overhaul.
