Prescribed Adjustment of Tapered Roller Bearing - Differential (F 13/F 15/F 17/F 18/F 18+)   Adjust bearing pretension by screwing in the bearing ring. At checking speed of 1 rev per second maintain the specified breakaway torques.     Repair case   Transmission removed   Breakaway torque (Ncm)   1)   Adjustment acc. to mark (without axial play). Re-use of all removed parts   set bearing ring to mark   2)   Adjustment acc. to mark (without axial play). Re-use of all removed parts   60 to 100   3)   Reusing bearing, replacement of bearing ring, bearing flange, differential or transmission housing.   60 to 100   4)   Bearing as new part   150 to 210     Torsiometer MKM-536-A (1) with KM-6037 (2) - see chapter "Special Service Tools".

1)	Adjustment acc. to mark (without axial play). Re-use of all removed parts	set bearing ring to mark
2)	Adjustment acc. to mark (without axial play). Re-use of all removed parts	Total breakaway torque + 80
3)	Reusing bearing, replacement of bearing ring, bearing flange, differential or transmission housing.
4)	Bearing as new part	150 to 210

  Install, Connect   

Re-cut thread. Insert fastening bolt with screw locking compound (red). Attach retaining plate of bearing ring to transmission casing (1 fastening bolt) - tightening torque 9 Nm / 6.5 lbf. ft.
