Shift Arm, Disassemble and Reassemble (F 25)
Clamp shift mechanism in vice with protective jaws - shift rods must be in neutral position.
Disassemble
Drive out roll pin (1) with suitable drift.
Drive out shift lever shaft (3) and remove shift arm (2).
Compress spring (3) and remove retaining ring (1). Remove spring (3) and sleeve (2).
Proceed likewise on opposite side.
Assemble
Place springs on shift arm.
Important!
Sleeve and spring for 1st/2nd gear are shorter.
Compress spring (3) with sleeve (2) and install new retaining ring (1).
Place the shift arm (5) with springs and sleeves in bearing support. Press in the shift lever shaft (4) and drive in the roll pin (6).
