Actuation Cables for Shift Mechanism, Remove and Install (F 23)     Remove, Disconnect    Remove centre console - see operation "Centre Console, Remove and Install" in group "C".   Release clamps (arrow).   Remove front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".   Remove actuation cables for shift mechanism from shift unit (1) and bracket (2).   Unclip guide sleeve (3) from bulkhead and remove actuation cable unit in direction of vehicle travel.

  Install, Connect   

Guide actuation cable unit into bulkhead and clip in. At the same time, ensure correct routing (black cable to the right in direction of vehicle travel).  

Install actuation cables for shift mechanism on shift unit and in bracket.  

Install front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".  

Guide actuation cables into clamps of gearshift lever (do not lock yet).  

  Adjust   

Adjust transmission shift linkage (F23) - see corresponding operation.  

  Install, Connect   

Install centre console - see operation "Centre Console, Remove and Install" in group "C".
