Bearing Rings in Transmission Casing, Replace (F 18/F 18+)     Remove, Disconnect    Remove central release - see operation "Central Release, Remove and Install".   Remove needle bearing for mount of the drive shaft with KM 523-1 (1) and KM-523 (2) from transmission.   Pull outer race for roller bearing of main shaft out of transmission - use KM-J-26941 (5), KM-483 (4) and KM-313 (3). If stiff, heat transmission casing in area of bearing ring with hot air blower.

  Install, Connect   

Press new outer race for roller bearing of the main shaft in transmission up to stop - use KM-743 (1) and KM-J-8092 (2).   Drive in new drive shaft needle bearing until flush in transmission (lettered side to transmission), KM-523.   Install central release - see operation "Central Release, Remove and Install".
