Electrical Fuel Pump, Remove and Install (Petrol Engine)  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Empty fuel tank with fuel transfer unit, see "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop Equipment" catalogue.  

Store drained fuel in suitable locking container.  

Fold rear seat down and lever assembly opening.  

Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) from maintenance opening lock lid.  

Mark fuel lines (1) and disconnect with KM-796. Close off fuel lines with Closure Plug KM-807.

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Release locking ring for maintenance opening lock lid with KM-797 (1). Carefully pull maintenance opening lock lid upwards - at the same time, pay attention to cable and hose connections.  

Remove wiring harness plug for fuel pump (4) and fuel tank sensor (5) from maintenance opening lock lid. Detach fuel return hose (2) from maintenance opening lock lid.  

Remove gasket (3) and lay maintenance opening lock lid aside.

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Press locking mechanisms (arrows) inward and hold. Pull fuel pump housing from reservoir and place in suitable collecting basin.  

Detach fuel screen, wiring harness plug and fuel hose (1) from fuel pump.  

Press lock tabs (4) inwards and simultaneously push locking ring (2) out of fuel pump housing (3).  

Remove locking ring and fuel pump from fuel pump housing.

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Install fuel pump with lock ring on fuel pump housing.  

Attach wiring harness plug, fuel hose and fuel screen to fuel pump.  

Insert fuel pump housing in reservoir - locking mechanisms must engage audibly.  

Connect fuel return line to maintenance opening lock lid.  

Connect fuel gauge wiring harness plug and fuel pump (petrol engine) wiring harness plug to maintenance opening lock lid.  

Carefully insert maintenance opening lock lid with new gasket.  

Turn maintenance opening lock lid lock ring anticlockwise with KM-797 and lock - lock ring must engage audibly.  

Disconnect Closure Plug KM-807 from fuel lines and slide fuel lines on connections until quick fittings engage - note identification.  

Connect wiring harness plug to maintenance opening lock lid.  

Close off assembly opening and fold down lower rear seat.  

Top up fuel tank with fuel transfer unit, see "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop Equipment" catalogue.
