Power Steering Hydraulic Lines, Remove and Install (X 20 DTL)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

To remove pressure line (2) and return line (1), remove axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".   Notice:    Operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" includes removing pressure line (2) and return line (1) from steering gear and opening of clips (8).   Remove relay bracket from battery case and set aside. Remove vacuum line (4) from fluid reservoir and power steering pump. Disconnect pressure line (6) from power steering pump. Unclip pressure line and vacuum line from fan motor bracket fastenings (5). Remove return line (3) from fluid reservoir return pipe (7).

  Install, Connect   

Attach pressure line with new seal rings to power steering pump - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.  

Attach return line to fluid reservoir - tightening torque 2.5 Nm / 2 lbf. ft.  

Attach vacuum line to power steering pump and fluid reservoir - tightening torque 2.5 Nm / 2 lbf. ft.  

Clip pressure line and vacuum line to vent fan bracket. Attach relay bracket to battery case.  

Install front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".  

  Inspect   

Charge and bleed hydraulic system - see operation "Hydraulic System, Charge and Bleed".
