Engine Damping Blocks, Engine, Short-block Auxiliary Component Main Bracket, Remove and Install (without AC)
Remove, Disconnect Remove air cleaner housing - see illustration "Air Cleaner Housing, Air Duct". Mark running direction of ribbed V-belt. Tension ribbed V-belt tension roller clockwise with KM-913-A and remove ribbed V-belt from pulleys. Remove fastening bolts (1) for pressure line and fastening bolts (2) for power steering pump from auxiliary aggregates support - note different bolt lengths - hydraulic system remains closed. Suspend power steering pump at suitable point. Carefully pull oil dipstick guide tube out of cylinder block. Remove fastening bolts (3) and remove auxiliary aggregates support with ribbed V-belt tension roller upwards - note different bolt lengths. |

Install, Connect On replacement of the auxiliary component main bracket: Mount ribbed V-belt tension roller - see operation "Ribbed V-belt Tension Roller, Remove and Install". Insert auxiliary component main bracket with ribbed V-belt tension roller. Connect auxiliary component main bracket to cylinder block - tightening torque 35 Nm / 25.8 lbf. ft. Insert oil dipstick guide tube cylinder block with new seal rings - ensure correct seating. Connect power steering pump and oil dipstick guide tube fastening tab tube to auxiliary component main bracket - tightening torque 25 Nm / 18.4 lbf. ft. Connect pressure line to auxiliary component main bracket. Position ribbed V-belt - tension ribbed V-belt via ribbed V-belt tension roller and KM-913-A. Ensure running direction and installation position of ribbed V-belt is correct.
Notice: Before assembling components of the intake system (hoses, connections, etc.), they must be cleaned of any possible contamination (grease, oil, etc.). When tightening the hose clamps, be sure to observe exactly the tightening torque of 3.5 Nm / 2.6 lbf. ft.
Important! It is only ensured that the intake system is free of leaks, thus ensuring operational safety of the engine, if the hose clamps are tightened correctly to the prescribed tightening torque.
Install, Connect Install air filter housing - see illustration "Air Filter Housing, Air Flow Guide".
