Fluid Pressure - Power Steering Pump, Check (Petrol Engines) > < Power Steering Hydraulic Lines, Remove and Install (X 20 DTL)

 

Hydraulic Lines - Power Steering, Remove and Install (X 20 DTH, Y 20 DTH, Y 22 DTR)  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

To remove pressure line (2) and return line (1), remove axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".  

Notice: 

 
Operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" includes removing pressure line (2) and return line (1) from steering gear and opening of clips (8).  

Remove vacuum line (3) from fluid reservoir and power steering pump. Disconnect pressure line (4) from power steering pump. Detach return lines (6) and (7) from cooling loop (5) or fluid reservoir.  

Remove cooling loop (5). To do this, remove front panelling - see operation "Front Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A".

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Attach pressure line with new seal rings to power steering pump - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft.  

Clip in cooling loop. Attach return line to cooling loop and fluid reservoir - tightening torque 2.5 Nm / 2 lbf. ft.  

Attach vacuum line to power steering pump and fluid reservoir - tightening torque 2.5 Nm / 2 lbf. ft.  

Clip pressure line and vacuum line to bracket.  

Install front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".  

Object Number: 616196  Size: DEFAULT  Inspect   

Charge and bleed hydraulic system - see operation "Hydraulic System, Charge and Bleed".
