For this procedure, use the tools shown in the following illustrations or their equivalents.

Shock Absorber

May be replaced individually

Need not be replaced if only slight traces of oil are visible

After replacing, align front wheels

Removing/installing, refer to Fig. 2

Note color-code identification

Outer surface of spring must not be damaged

Strut Bearing

Replace complete part

Identifying.

Slotted Nut
-

Tighten to: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)

WARNING:  Compress coil spring before loosening nut. Refer to Fig.1.
