Roll-Over Protection, Removing and Installing

Roll-Over Protection, Removing And Installing 

CAUTION:  Observe safety measures and notes for work on rollover protection 

Removing 

-

Open roof completely.

-

Disconnect vehicle battery

-

Remove seat bench.

-

Remove headrest covers.

-

Remove backrest

-

Remove side trim

-

Remove rear seat belt anchors

-

Remove rollover protection trim

-

Remove rollover protection trim support piece

-

Operate the respective catch on the corresponding connector and disconnect wiring harnesses from Driver's Rollover Protection Solenoid N309
and Front Passenger's Rollover Protection Solenoid N310.

-

Remove a total of twelve screws - 1 - (28.5 Nm) and remove right - 2 - and left rollover protection - 3 - from mounts in body.

Installing 

-

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION:  Ensure there are no people in rollover protection deployment area. 

-

Connect vehicle battery.
