Convertible Top Deck Lid: Removal and Replacement

Removing

Open roof with convertible top operating button until rear lid with rear shelf tips back.

Bring the rear lid into its service position. Refer to => [ Rear Lid Service Position ] See: Procedures.

Unclip cables on bottom side of covers from relay pulleys. Refer to => [ Cover Flaps ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Cover
Flaps.

Mark the position of the screws - 4 -.

Note the exact measurement between the rear stop buffers on the frame - 3 -.

Remove the bolts - 4 -.
-
Remove the rear shelf - 1 - from the frame - 3 - with a second technician.
