Hydraulic Cylinder in Roof Pillar

‹› When the luggage compartment trim is installed, make sure the support is not positioned in the opening on the longitudinal member.

‹› To support roof, both sides of luggage compartment trim should be either removed or installed.

Open the roof with the convertible top switch until it is just before the position shown.

-

Place (VAS 6365) in lowest position -  2 -.

-

Place the (VAS 6365) in the mounting hole in the main hinge - 1 - and rotate the base - 4 - so that it is not positioned in the opening in the
longitudinal.

Switch ignition off, roof lowers in stages until supports -  4 - are resting on longitudinal member - 5 -.

CAUTION!
Proceed with caution when reusing hydraulic cylinder. 

Spring clips must not be pried completely out of ball socket, otherwise they will be damaged.

Spring clips should not be bent too much, otherwise they will be damaged. 

The hydraulic cylinder can jump out of the mounts and injure the operator.
