Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair
Vibration Damper
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Counter-Holder Tool (T10069)
‹› Two Arm Puller (T10040)
‹› The (T10040) is only necessary for tight fitting vibration dampers.
Removing

Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Ribbed
Belt.

Lock the vibration damper using (T10069).

Loosen the vibration damper bolt and unscrew it approximately 10 mm.

If the vibration damper is loose, completely remove the bolt and remove the vibration damper.

If the vibration damper cannot be removed, use the (T10040/2A ).
Installing
CAUTION!
Check the rubber connection between the inner and outer rings of the vibration damper for cracks and flaking. If rubber connection
