Adjusting Throttle Valve Gap for Improved Overrun Boost in Keihin Carburetor

Adjusting throttle valve gap for overrun boost

The throttle valve gap for overrun boost is set at the factory and is not to be altered. Proceed as follows if the setting is changed inadvertently.

  • ‒ Remove carburettor.
 
U22-0007
  • ‒ → Press pull rod for throttle valve positioner in direction of arrow -arrow A- as far as stop.
  • ‒ Measure throttle valve gap.
         Specification: 0.55 ± 0.1 mm

If necessary, adjust throttle valve gap by bending stop lever -arrow B-.

Gap too small:

Bend lever apart

Gap too large:

Squeeze lever together
