• ◆ Pin wrench Matra V159
• ◆ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331 (5...50 Nm)

Note:

The Motronic control unit requires the No.1 cylinder TDC signal from the Hall sender co-ordinate the injection and knock sensor system according to the firing order.

• ‒ → Set flywheel -A- or drive plate -B- to TDC No. 1 cylinder.

Engine removed

• ‒ → Set vibration clamper (V - belt pulley) to TDC No. 1 cylinder.

• ‒ → Mark on camshaft sprocket must align with arrow on cylinder head cover: (1.4 + 1.6 L)

• ‒ → Mark on distributor must align with mark on rotor arm or Hall sender cover.
