  • ◆ 3180 Retainer
  • ◆ 3277 Fitting tool
  • ◆ 3302 Drift
  • ◆ VW 432
 
N10-0017
  • ‒ → Pull H.T. cables off ignition transformer and unclip out of the H.T. cable guide -2-.
  • ‒ Remove H.T. cable guide -2-.
  • ‒ Pull off vacuum hose between intake manifold upper part and fuel pressure regulator.
  • ‒ Remove intake manifold temperature sender from intake manifold upper part.
 
N19-0015
  • ‒ → Fit engine support bracket 10-222 A with adapter 10-222A/3.
  • ‒ Locate support bracket in lifting eyes on left and right of cylinder head and take-up weight of engine.
 
V10-1337
  • ‒ Remove engine carrier.
  • ‒ → Lever off washers from the spacer sleeves with pliers (replace any washers which are damaged e.g. bent washers).
  • ‒ Pull out spacer sleeves and detach rubber mounting.
 
V10-1338
  • ‒ Fit new rubber mounting and insert spacer sleeves as far as possible.
  • ‒ → Fit washers -1- over peening tool 3302 onto the rubber mounting -2-.
  • ‒ Fit press sleeve of peening tool 3302 and using a press, press the washers onto the spacer sleeves and peen. Use VW 432 as packing.
  • ‒ Remove any resulting protrusion/burr on the peening.
