Removing

  • ‒ → After removing the hexagon socket head bolts swing caliper out upwards.
  • ‒ Remove brake pads and pad retaining springs.

Notes:

  • ◆ Before inserting new pads, press piston back into the cylinder with resetting tool.
  • ◆ Before pressing the piston back, draw off brake fluid from the brake reservoir with a bleeder bottle. Otherwise, particularly if reservoir has been topped up, fluid will overflow and cause damage.

Installing brake pad/brake pad retaining springs

  • ‒ → Install inner brake pad and pad retaining springs on wheel bearing housing.
  • ‒ Install outer brake pad.

→ Installing brake caliper

  • ‒ Install brake caliper only sufficiently for the securing bolts to be located.

Note:

If the brake caliper is pressed on to far it may deform the pad retaining springs, which could lead to noises when braking.
