Installing steering wheel > < Removing and installing steering wheel with airbag

Removing
–  Remove airbag module → Chapter.
–  Remove trim below steering column switch.
   
–  Unplug connector -arrow-. (Pull foam rubber sleeve off connector, if fitted).
–  Remove hexagon nut and pull steering wheel off steering column.
  Note
  V48-1123
t  After pulling steering wheel off, turn coil connector slightly so that the cable -arrow- faces downwards. (Hold steering wheel in installation position). Coil connector then engages and is secured against rotating.
t  If this step is not performed or if the coil connector is turned in an uncontrolled manner, it can lead to the coil connector in the coil connector being over-stressed at full lock, causing irreparable damage.
