Installing > < Removing and installing camshafts

Removing
–  Remove engine cover.
–  Remove top part of intake manifold.
  Note
Close off intake ducts in bottom part of intake manifold with a clean cloth.
–  Remove top part of toothed belt guard.
   
–  Set camshaft toothed belt pulley to TDC mark No. 1 cylinder by turning crankshaft. Marking on camshaft toothed belt pulley must align with arrow on toothed belt guard.
–  Loosen tensioning roller and remove toothed belt from camshaft pulley.
–  Turn crankshaft back slightly.

–  Remove camshaft toothed belt pulley. To loosen bolt, hold camshaft toothed belt pulley tight using counterhold tool -3415-.
–  Remove Woodruff key from camshaft toothed belt pulley.
–  Remove cylinder head cover.
–  First remove bearing caps 5, 1 and 3. Then loosen bearing caps 2 and 4 alternating diagonally.
