Location of secondary air pump relay -J299- is → Fig.
   
1 - Intake manifold
2 - Intake manifold changeover vacuum actuator
3 - To intake manifold.
4 - To fuel pressure regulator.
5 - Combination valve
q   Checking → Chapter
6 - Gasket
q   Renew.
7 - Air duct
q   In cylinder head
8 - 10 Nm
9 - Connection
q   For combination valve.
10 - 5 Nm
11 - Pressure hose
q   Check for secure seating.
12 - O-ring
q   Renew if damaged.
13 - Connection
14 - Bracket
q   For secondary air pump motor.
q   With support to sump
15 - 20 Nm
16 - Connector
q   For secondary air pump motor.
17 - Rubber bush
18 - Secondary air pump motor -V101-
19 - Air filter
q   Clean if soiled.
20 - Retaining clamp
21 - Intake hose
q   Check for secure seating.
22 - Non-return valve
q   White connection faces to secondary air inlet valve -N112-/variable intake manifold changeover valve -N156-
23 - Connector
q   Black, 2-pin
24 - Variable intake manifold changeover valve -N156-
25 - Secondary air inlet valve -N112-
26 - Vacuum reservoir

  Note
t  If tools are necessary to pull relays or control units out of the relay plate, first disconnect battery earth strap
t  Before disconnecting battery earth strap obtain code for radios with anti-theft coding.
