1 - Central flap control motor -V70-
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Renewing: initiate basic settings using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or successor model → Chapter
2 - Left temperature flap control motor -V158-
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Renewing: initiate basic settings using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or successor model → Chapter
3 - Defroster flap control motor -V107-
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Renewing: initiate basic settings using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or successor model → Chapter
4 - Bracket
5 - Bolts
q   Bolts must be removed to separate air distribution housing from evaporator housing.
6 - Cover
7 - Vehicles up to calendar week 17/2007: air recirculation flap control motor -V113-; from calendar week 18/2007: air recirculation flap control motor -V113- was discontinued
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Renewing: initiate basic settings using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or successor model → Chapter
8 - Vehicles up to calendar week 17/2007: air flow flap control motor -V71-; from calendar week 18/2007: control motor for fresh air and air recirculation flap and air flow flap -V425-
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter for vehicles up to calendar week 17/2007
q   Removing and installing → Chapter for vehicles up to calendar week 18/2007
q   Renewing: initiate basic settings using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or successor model → Chapter
9 - Air intake housing
q   With air recirculation flap
q   With air flow flap (Climatronic).
10 - Fresh air intake duct temperature sensor -G89-
q   Only installed in vehicles up to 12.05
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)
q   Function: temperature sensor controls temperature flap and fresh air blower, depending on temperature
q   To dismantle, remove dash panel → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70.
11 - Upper part of evaporator housing
q   Dismantling and assembling evaporator housing → Chapter
12 - Lower part of evaporator housing
q   Dismantling and assembling evaporator housing → Chapter
13 - Evaporator
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
14 - Evaporator temperature sensor -G308- or evaporator output temperature sender -G263-
q   Checking: vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051- (or later model)

One of the two component designations appears depending on software. The functions are identical.

q   To dismantle, remove glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.

17 - Fresh air blower -V2- with fresh air blower control unit -J126-
q   Vehicles as of 11.05; fresh air blower control unit -J126- can be renew individually

q   Removing and installing on vehicles up to 1K-7P015628 and 1K-7B084800 → Chapter.
q   Removing and installing on vehicles from 1K-7P015629 and 1K-7B084801 → Chapter.
