Renewing oil seal for right flange shaft - all-wheel drive > < Removing

Installing
Installing
–  Lightly oil outer circumference of new oil seal.
–  Half-fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease -G 052 128-.
   
–  Drive in new seal to stop, being careful not to cant seal.
–  Insert stub shaft or flange shaft.
–  Screw in new countersunk bolt for securing stub shaft or flange shaft and tighten to 30 Nm.
Vehicles with intermediate shaft
–  Renew O-ring of stub shaft.
–  Grease splines of stub shaft with grease -G 000 100-.
  A34-10015
–  Guide intermediate shaft -B- on bearing bracket -C- onto stub shaft of gearbox.
–  Tighten intermediate shaft on bearing bracket to specified torque. -Arrows- → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. gr.40.
Continuation for all vehicles
–  Install right drive shaft → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. gr.40.
–  Install right wheel → Running gear, axles, steering; Rep. gr.44.
–  Change oil and filter for dual clutch gearbox → Chapter.
–  Install noise insulation as necessary → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.
