1 - 25 Nm
q   Renew.
2 - Retaining ring
q   Renew if damaged.
3 - Separating point
q   Marked by impressions on exhaust pipe.
q   During production, front and rear silencers are installed as a single component. For repairs, front and rear silencers are supplied separately.
q   The connection is made with a clamp.
q   Cutting exhaust pipe → Chapter.
q   Installation position of rear clamp (repair double clamp) → Fig..
q   Evenly tighten threaded connections of clamp (repair double clamp).
q   Torque settings for clamp (repair double clamp): M8 = 25 Nm, M10 = 40 Nm.
q   Before tightening, align cold exhaust system free of tension → Chapter.

5 - Mounting
q   Renew if damaged.
6 - 25 Nm
7 - Tunnel bridge
8 - Front silencer

   
Installation position of rear clamp (repair double clamp)
–  Install clamp so that end of bolt does not extend beyond lower edge of clamp.
l  Bolted connection on left.
