Installing > < Removing and installing coolant pump

  WARNING
Steam may escape when expansion tank is opened. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and scalding. Cover cap with cloth and open carefully.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.
   
–  Remove deflector plate -2-.
–  Remove tensioning element -1- for poly V-belt.
–  Remove upper toothed belt guard → Chapter.
–  Loosen toothed belt tensioner and remove toothed belt from camshaft belt pulley.

–  Remove centre toothed belt guard -arrows-.
  Note
t  Pulley and lower toothed belt guard can remain installed.
t  The toothed belt remains on the crankshaft toothed belt pulley.
t  Before removing coolant pump, cover toothed belt with a cloth to protect against coolant.

–  Unscrew coolant pump securing bolts -1- and remove coolant pump -2-.
–  Remove O-ring -3-.
