Removing
  Note
t  Always follow safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Assembly overview - ignition system → Chapter.
t  To pull off spark plugs, fit puller -T40039- onto uppermost, thick rib -arrow- of ignition coils with final output stages.

t  The lower ribs may be damaged if they are used.

–  Release connectors and simultaneously pull all connectors from ignition coils.

–  Pull all ignition coils out of spark plug recess using puller -T40039-.
Installing:
  Note
t  When fitting new spark plugs, the ignition coil must be regreased using lubricating paste -G 052 141 A2- This will stop the ignition coil sealing hose from »sticking« to the spark plug. The lubricating paste must be distributed on the spark plug when inserting on the ignition coil.
t  New ignition coils with output stage are lubricated when delivered.
  N28-10011
–  Apply a thin coat of lubricating paste -G 052 141 A2- around the ignition coil sealing hose -arrow-. The lubricating paste coat must be 1…2 mm thick.
–  Insert spark plugs loosely into spark plug recess.

–  Align ignition coils with connectors -arrows- and push all connectors onto ignition coils.
–  Evenly push ignition coils onto spark plugs by hand.
