Removing and installing oil pump, engine codes CFHB, CFHC, CFJA, CLCA
Removing and installing oil pump, engine codes CFHB, CFHC, CFJA, CLCA
   
Removing
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  When oil pump is to be renewed, unscrew bolts -4- and remove oil intake pipe -3-.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove baffle -2-.
–  Detach oil pump -1- from toothed belt and remove pump.

Installing
l  Specified torques → Chapter.
Install in reverse order:
  Note
Renew O-ring.
–  Insert new dowel sleeves when oil pump has no dowel sleeves -arrows- for centring oil pump.
–  Check oil pump for ease of movement, turn toothed belt pulley with one finger for this.
  Note
Renew oil pump if sluggish.
–  Check toothed belt for oil pump.
  Note
t  Renew toothed belt if damaged.
t  The toothed belt can sag after long use, this is not a fault.
–  Fit oil pump with toothed belt pulley into toothed belt and tighten along with baffle.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
–  Replenish engine oil and check oil level → Chapter.
